my weekend

it's been a low key weekend, the kind that i typically associate with san francisco. friday evening, my friend oppilal came over and we cooked and ate a delicious indian meal, watched Six Feet Under, and fell asleep.

yesterday, my friend judy and i went to an 8:30 am dance class- i know, early but very much worth it. then, we went to one of my favorite breakfast places here in the city, Squat and Gobble. they have the best lattes and californian crepes! we sat and talked for hours, and she helped me with a work-related project.

then, i went home, watched some more Six Feet Under, took a nap, and went to one of my favorite places in SF, Ocean Beach, and went on a nice long run. then, i walked some, did a little yoga, and rested on the sand. then, i went to Java Beach, a cafe right off of the beach for tea. Judy met me there and we talked for a little while. then i went out for Sushi which I had been craving for almost one week but didn't get to it until last night because of, mostly, work. anyhow, it was scrumptious!

today, i woke up at 8 am, cleaned the house a little, went to Trader Joe's, made breakfast, and was visited by my colleague, Laurie, and her precious son, Feila. I will post a picture of him shortly. I played with Feila and even went swimming with him. He is such an amazing being! my life has truly been blessed with his presence!

one of the things i have come into learning is that one of the things i love about the weekend is napping... speaking of napping, it's time for one right now! oh how i love thee my sweet siesta!
